The GhettoFish organization held a press conference today at the Leominster Dek Hockey Center to announce which awards will be given and who the nominees are. The awards will be given at the GhettoFish 2010 Championship Celebration Party at the Leominster Eagles Club on October 15th, 2010.
The awards will run as follows:
| Most Valuable Player Award |
| This is an award given to the player judged to be the most valuable to the team. The winner is selected in a poll of other team's players and coaches, and representitives of the Leominster Dek Hockey Center. |
| Nominees: Eric Newton, Zak Johanssen, Dax Telepciak, Todd Roy |
| Most Improved Player Award |
| This award is given to the player who performs better than prior seasons and shows perseverance in overcoming adversity while doing so. |
| Nominees: Jack Ryan, Jeff Little, Nate Roberts |
| GhettoFish Hangover Award |
| This award is given to the player who consumed the most alcohol within 2 hours before and after each game throughout the season. |
| Nominees: Jack Kerbert, Jake Telepciak, Dax Telepciak |
| GhettoFish 7th Player Award |
| This is an award given to a player, voted by the fans, who went above and beyond their limitations, and has exceeded the expectations of the GhettoFish fans. |
| Nominees: Eric Newton, Todd Roy, Jack Kerbert, Jake Telepciak, Jeff Little, Nate Roberts, Paul LaBrousse, Zack Johanssen, Jack Ryan, Dax Telepciak, Derek Caron

| GhettoFish Psycho Fan Award |
| This is the award given by the GhettoFish fans, to the GhettoFish fan, for best support of the GhettoFish through out the year. |
| Nominees: Cori Owen, Vince Cormier

The GhettoFish also announced that there will be a special presntation at the award ceremony, but did not elaborate on what the presentation will be. We will break the news if it becomes available.
